TWO women from Herefordshire have celebrated their 100th birthdays together.
Mrs Violet Evans and Mrs Phyllis Orton turned 100 this week at The Forbury Residential Home in Leominster.
The pair had a special day, having their hair done for a photoshoot and a surprise birthday party with the other residents followed by a birthday meal with their families.
Mrs Evans worked as a cook for many years and helped in a converted war camp for wounded soldiers for a few years during the Second World War, while Mrs Orton worked as a school dinner lady and spent a lot of time with her family.

While they were enjoying all the birthday wishes, the team at Forbury asked them what their secret is for reaching such an amazing milestone.
Mrs Orton said: "Half a lager every night and dancing."
Mrs Evans said it is her twins, children filled her life.
