VISITING has been suspended at a Hereford County Hospital ward due to a 'small number' of Covid-19 cases.

The Frome Ward at the hospital is closed to visitors unless in exceptional circumstances.

An updated posted today (Wednesday) on the Hereford County Hospital website said: "Visiting is currently suspended due to a small number of cases of Covid-19, unless in exceptional circumstances. Please speak to the nurse in charge."

OTHER NEWS:

Last month the Wye Valley NHS Trust eased visiting arrangements further at its hospitals which means that inpatients can now have one daily visit from a family member or friend from the first day of their hospital stay.

This remains in place on other wards.
