A BURLESQUE dancer is on a mission to open minds as she brings a new show to Hereford.

Lindsay McGlone, 24, is a burlesque dancer, producer and activist who moved to Hereford to create a burlesque scene in the city.

Her show Reclaimed will see award-winning dancers perform at the Richmond Club on Saturday, March 19.

It is going to be Hereford’s new knockout show, she said.

The activist and public speaker, who has a following of over 19, 000 on Instagram, said there was an obvious gap for an event like this in Hereford’s arts calendar.

“I hope that this event will promote people to be 100 per cent authentically themselves and also make my mark on Hereford through reclaiming the space,” she said.

OTHER NEWS:

Ms McGlone feels her activism gives her a voice and allows others to be heard through the show.

“Producing burlesque and cabaret shows allows me to create entertainment that I feel should be seen, that I feel conveys a message and has diversity and inclusion the forefront,” she said.

“It means I can create a space in Hereford for those who don't quite feel they can be 100% themselves yet, that this is a safe place for them to explore and obviously enjoy the show,” she said.
