  • A slow first half saw Southport have the better of the early exchanges with the opening chance on 14 minutes falling to Lewis Mansell who sent his free header over.
  • Adam Anson was next to go close having a free header which was easily saved by goalkeeper Andreas Sondergaard.
  • Sondergaard was also forced into action early in the second half to deny Dylan Vassallo with his feet from a shot across his goalmouth.
