A HEREFORDSHIRE smoker has been handed a hefty penalty after dropping his cigarette butt in a Birmingham street.
Mark Turner was proven guilty by magistrates in Birmingham.
The court heard the 44-year-old had dropped a cigarette and left it in Stephenson Street in Birmingham on July 17.
Turner, of Pixley Walk, Hereford, was fined £440. He must also pay costs of £175 and a £44 victim surcharge.
