MORE Herefordshire speeders have been up before the magistrates after they were caught breaking the limit.

Geoffrey David Pearce, 54, was proven guilty by magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Pearce had been caught breaking the limit behind the wheel of a BMW in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Hildersley on July 7.

Pearce, of High Street, Ross-on-Wye, was fined £220 and received three penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £34 victim surcharge.

James Clarke, 41, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Nissan driver Clarke had been caught speeding in a 50 miles per hour variable speed limit zone on the M5 motorway on June 30.

Clarke, of Bredon Drive, Hereford, was fined £40 and received three penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £34 victim surcharge.

Sophia Maris Baker, 28, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Baker had been caught breaking the speed limit behind the wheel of an Audi in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A4110 at Canon Pyon on July 2.

Baker, of Mill Street, Ludlow, was fined £440 and received six penalty points. She must also pay costs of £90 and a £44 victim surcharge.

Jackson Andrew Page, 20, entered a guilty plea to magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Mercedes driver Page had been caught speeding in a 50 miles per hour zone on the A40 at Pencraig on July 3.

Page, of Pant-y-Fforest, Ebbw Vale, was fined £266 and received six penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £34 victim surcharge.
