A WOMAN has been handed a fine after she was caught behind the wheel in an untaxed car.

Georgia Scudamore was proven guilty in her absence by magistrates in Highbury Corner.

The court heard the 27-year-old had been caught driving a Renault at Mount Pleasant, London, without a valid vehicle licence on March 3.

Magistrates were told the car's previous licence had expired on June 30, 2020.

Scudamore, of Much Marcle, was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs of £200. No surcharge was imposed as the back duty had already been paid.
