MORE uninsured drivers have been caught behind the wheel on Herefordshire's roads.

Mateusz Szwajda, 32, was proven guilty by magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Szwajda had been caught driving a Vauxhall Vivaro in Sidbury, Worcestershire, without insurance on June 8.

He was also driving without wearing a seatbelt.

Szwajda, of Springfield Avenue, Hereford, was fined a total of £880 and received six penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and an £88 victim surcharge.

John Frederick Phillips, 33, was proven guilty by magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Phillips had been caught behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Passat in Hereford's Folly Lane without insurance on June 17.

Phillips, of Chave Court, Hereford, was fined £660 and received six penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £66 victim surcharge.

Matthew Saunders, 32, was proven guilty by magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard Saunders had been caught driving a Citroen Berlingo on the A40 at Whitchurch in Herefordshire without insurance on June 26.

Saunders, of Park Court, Abergavenny, was fined £660 and received six penalty points. He must also pay costs of £90 and a £34 victim surcharge.
