SHOPPERS can now get their cars valeted at a Hereford supermarket as a new centre opens, creating jobs.
The new valet centre at Morrisons, in Station Approach, is in the main car park, with 16 car parking spaces lost.
The pod is a single-storey unit with an open-air wash bay and a double canopy covered prep area.
Services offered range from a basic wash to upholstery and seat cleaning.
New jobs have been created, which consultants told Herefordshire Council planners was a benefit to the local community.
The national supermarket chain has also let the NHS turns its garden centre into a walk-in coronavirus vaccination centre this week.
It is one of a number of different 'pop-up' locations to be used by the NHS, with Asda, in Belmont Road, and Hereford Livestock Market, in Roman Road, other places previously used by vaccinators.
