- Lads Club had their first opening inside the first five minutes as Kiea Cowley created space on the overlap before seeing his cross saved.
- Straight up the other end Dan Stoneman sent a stinging cross come shot in which flew across goal and wide.
- Harrison Summers tested Lads Club goalkeeper Steve Bell on 10 minutes cutting inside before stinging the palms of the shot stopper.
- The best chance fell to striker Josh Hunt on 13 minutes putting his effort wide when free inside the box after good work by Dan Stoneman.
- Two minutes later Hunt came even closer watching his header crash off the post.
- The Lads Club goal was living a charmed life and Summers saw his low effort from inside the box cannon off the post and heading in only for Liam Jones to clear off the line.
- Lads Club striker Cameron Peters went close on 32 minutes ghosting past the last man before lobbing Ian Havard only to see his effort dip just over.
- Six minutes before the break Peters looked to have beaten the Fields' defence but was denied by an inch-perfect Sam Rawlings challenge.
- Peters was causing Fields problems and crossed for Cowley to slot hope but from an off-side position as the goal was disallowed.
- Moments before the break Fields rattled the woodwork for the third time of the half with Summers' floated cross coming off the crossbar.
- After having the better of the second half Lads Club were reduced to 10 men on 66 minutes eith Olly Price given a second yellow for a foul on Summers.
- From the resulting free-kick Richard Greaves saw his header loop onto the post and out of play.
- The deadlock was broken on 69 minutes with substitute Luke Sylvester on the overlap crossing for Hunt to tap home.
- It should have be two moments later with Summers unlocking the defence before the ball was pulled back to Stoneman in space but the winger blazed over with the goal at his mercy.
- Lads Club goalkeeper Steve Bell denied Fields a second goal on 77 minutes denying Summers who was through on goal.
- Two minutes later Fields did score a second goal with Summers finding the run of Matt Macdonald who fired into the bottom corner.
- Summers was terrorising the Lads Club defence and found Hunt again inside the box who took a touch before firing over.
- Goalkeeper Bell was forced into action twice more firstly denying Matt McDonald and then Stoneman.
