A HEREFORD company has been recognised by the NHS for its medical breakthrough and could save time for NHS staff.
Hereford-based medical firm medi UK, in Plough Lane, Whitecross, could help improve the lives of 90,000 NHS patients across the country with their new product.
medi UK is a leading supplier of compression garments, which work to manage venous disease and leg ulcers, to the NHS.

Its new product is called duomed soft 2easy and could improve wound healing times for patients and in turn help staff care for their next patient quicker.

It was created with Welsh doctor Robert Lister, of Wrexham Maelor Hospital, and took them four years to receive NHS backing.
As many as 90,000 people in the UK use compression garments to manage a variety of medical conditions.

It is already available on the NHS and becomes available for NHS prescription on December 1, 2021.
