BONFIRE night is just around the corner and many people will be marking the day across Herefordshire.

Here are a few of the fireworks displays taking place in the county in the upcoming weeks.

Ross-on-Wye

Taking place at Ross Cricket Club on November 5 at 7pm. This annual display is organised by the Ross-on-Wye Lions Club and raises funds for Lions charities.

The fireworks can be viewed from the Wilton car park (HR9 5JR). The viewing area opens at 6.30pm and a refreshments van will be available.

Orleton

Taking place at the recreation ground, behind Orleton Parish Hall, on November 5. A bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm, followed by fireworks at 7pm.

The event has an entry fee of £7 for adults, £4 for children, and £20 for a family (two adults and two children).

Its an annual display organised by Orleton Young Farmers, and raises money for the Orleton and District Football Club. Refreshments are available.

Tupsley Quarry 

Held in Hereford at Tupsley Quarry.

Gates open at 5pm, with the bonfire being lit at 6.30pm. The fireworks start at 7pm.

Guests are asked to walk to the event if possible as surrounding roads can become congested.

Presteigne 

 Presteigne Fireworks  will be held on Saturday, November 6.

The evening will start at 6.15pm with a parade from the Recycling Centre.

Fire torches will be available for adults, children will be provided with electronic tea lights. Everyone is encouraged to bring a lantern.

The Firework Display will begin at 6.45pm on Went’s Meadow. The display has been designed by local pyrotechnics expert, Pete Smith.

Secret Garden, Hereford

Hosted at the Secret Garden in Colwells Road, Hereford. Doors open at 5pm on November 5, with the fireworks display starting at 7pm.

Entry is £8 for adults and children can go for free.

A bar and BBQ will be available. Live music will be provided by the Phoenix band.

Leominster

Leominster Golf Club will be holding a fireworks display on October 30, as part of its Kids Halloween Party.

Tickets for the party are £7.50

The evening includes fancy dress, games and a disco, before finishing with a fireworks display.

The Forge, Hereford

The Forge Wedding Venue, in Holme Lacy Road, Hereford, is hosting a fireworks display on November 5.

The event takes place between 5pm and 7pm

Tickets are free but people will need to confirm their place by adding themselves to the Facebook group.

As well as fireworks, a bonfire, burgers and toasted marshmallows are also promised.

Kington

On November 6, Kington recreation ground will be hosting a fireworks display at 6pm.

There is an entry fee of £2 for children, £4 for adults

Tickets are available Kington Farm Supplies, Kington Building Supplies and the Royal Oak, Kington.

Fireworks are supplied by Niteforce, Herefordshire's own fireworks specialists.
