- Straight from kick-off Solihull whipped the ball into the box which took a flick beating the goalkeeper only for Jared Hodgkiss to clear off the line.
- In a frantic opening to the tie Bulls loanee striker Ollie Hulbert beat his man only to be denied by a tackle from Kyle Storer.
- The best chance fell to Hereford on 13 minutes after Miles Storey beat the off-side trap pulling the ball down before blazing over the bar.
- Hereford loanee goalkeeper Jordan Wright was called into action at the other end after a slip by defender Levi Andoh allowed Nathan Rooney into the box who pulled it back for James Ball only to be denied by the shot stopper.
- At the other end Harry Pinchard saw his effort whistle wide with goalkeeper Jordan Wright beaten after the youngster's initial effort was saved.
- Bulls goalkeeper Wright was kept busy and was forced into a fine save to deny Callum Maycock.
- Moors came closer a minute before the break with Jordan Cranston's corner met by the head of Nathan Rooney at the front post and cannons off the post.
- However, the Bulls also went close before the break with Owen-Evans seeing his free-kick fly just wide.
- Pinchard picked out the top corner on 56 minutes only to see his effort matched by a fantastic Boot hand.
- Moors were looking second best but hit on the break on 72 minutes with substitute Joe Sbarra beating the off-side trap and pulling it back to Nathan Rooney who fired wide.
- Substitute Danny Newton gave Solihull a 78th minute lead when through a host of bodies inside the box Sbarra's effort was saved into the path of his fellow substitute.

- Hereford entered the competition in the second qualifying round beating Lymington in a replay 4-0 after drawing the first game 2-2.
- On Saturday the Bulls won 2-0 at Merstham in the third qualifying round.
- Solihull sit eighth in the National League after 11 games.
- Won five, drawn four and lost two. One of those defeats in their last five games.
- They won 1-0 at Kings Lynn Town on Tuesday night.
