So Theresa Broomfield (Letters Sep 30) wants a flyover from Belmont to the ASDA roundabout!

But why stop there when we could have an elevated dual carriageway over Cathedral Close and all the way to her children's school in Lugwardine?
Or she and the children could leave their car at home, or at a park-and-ride, and along with all the other commuters and students get on their bikes or an electric bus and free the roads of stationary polluting traffic and benefit their health simultaneously.
They would reach their destinations in a fraction of the time they now waste every day.
They would need the infrastructure in place to do this, which would be at a fraction of the cost of new roads, so let's make it happen!
