- ROLLING MATCH REPORT
- York should have taken a fourth minute lead when a corner was flicked on for Clayton Donaldson who headed his effort wide with the goal at his mercy.
- After their early scare Hereford responded with Dan Smith miss-hitting an effort before Harry Pinchard had a deflected effort over.
- Bulls defender Patrick Fini was causing problems going forward and beat the defence on 20 minutes but was denied by a last ditch tackle.
- However, Hereford needed goalkeeper Brandon Hall to keep them in the tie on 25 minutes when a ball was flicked on to Michael Woods in space, who hit a low half-volley which was picked out the bottom corner by Hall.
- Maziar Kouhyar came closest for the Bulls on 38 minutes firing wide from a tight angle after a good move from his side.
- At the opposite end Hall was forced into action again before the break this time tipping a Mackenzie Heaney effort over the bar.
- After the half-time break the Bulls came forward in front of the traveling fans and Levi Andoh saw his effort inside the box deflected just wide.
- Dan Smith then saw his headed tipped wide by goalkeeper Peter Jameson after Pinchard found him with a cross.
- At the other end York looked dangerous from set-pieces and Mark Beck rose highest for a corner but headed over.
- Hall was becoming man of the match for Hereford and saved a penalty after 57 minutes.
- Levi Andoh was harshly judged to have brought down substitute Harrison Hopper.
- Clayton Donaldson stepped up but Hall guessed the right direction and pulled off a fine save.
- The Bulls took an unlikely lead 11 minutes from time when Tom Owen-Evans chased down a kick from goalkeeper Jameson before rounding the goalkeeper and placing into an empty net.
- Donaldson did have the ball in the Bulls net on the 90th minute after Beck headed down across goal, but the linesman flagged it off-side.
- Heaney went closes in the second minute of added time when the ball was headed back on the edge of the box, but his effort flew over the bar.
