A HEREFORD garage ran out of diesel today (September 24) amid soaring demand.
A sign was placed outside the city's Barton Yard petrol station after the pumps ran dry.
Shortages have been reported at garages across the country as a shortage of lorry drivers hit some suppliers.

But staff at the garage said the diesel shortage there was not down to a lack of deliveries but rising demand, saying they had been really busy since the announcement of fuel shortages on the national news.
Two pumps are currently out of action at the garage, where motorists are queueing for fuel, while some lines are out of use on other pumps.
Staff said a delivery is expected in the next couple of days.
