THE Classic Buskers' passion for classical music demonstrated through virtuosity and laughter makes for an evening which educates and entertains in equal measure.

The act features Michael Copley playing more than 40 woodwind instruments at incredible speeds, ranging from recorders, flutes, panpipes, crumhorns and ocarinas to a Pico Pipe and a rubber trout, accompanied by Ian Moore on a small but perfectly formed accordion in pink or yellow.

Their programme at The Courtyard next Thursday, January 17, includes Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto and Haydn's Farewell Symphony and The Blue Danube. Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries (in costume), enables Ian to display both his wonderful acting, as well as his more unusual vocal talents and the pair will also present "a selection of deeply ethnic folk music from very unlikely countries".

Whether you know a little about classical music or a lot, the Buskers' concert of Micro Classics promises an entertaining evening with an endless stream of musical jokes included.
