TAMSIN Fitzgerald, founder and director of 2 FaCeD DaNcE company and winner of a Rayne Choreographer's Fellowship award, will be heading down under in the new year to work with one of the world's most prestigious dance companies, Australian Dance Theatre.

The visit is one of five secondments Tamsin will be undertaking as part of the award. She will be working with Garry Stewart, Australian Dance Theatre's current artistic director, hoping to gain positive inspiration and new choreographic skills.

Here in the UK meanwhile, Tamsin is co-creating a piece with world-renowned choreographer Hofesh Schecter for the Birmingham International Dance Festival. The main company will be working with both Schecter's company and the London-based parkour company, Urban Free Flow.

But Tamsin is not the only member of the company experiencing change and excitment - five main company members have recently gone to dance school, leaving the three original members, Daniel Lowenstein, Chris Knight and Dan French working with five new members, selected through a vigorous audition process, before learning the tour piece, State of Matter, in just 10 days.

State of Matter is on tour until the end of autumn 2008. For details of where you can catch it, click on the link below.
