Overtaking will be banned on a main road through a Herefordshire village to make it safer for drivers.
Herefordshire Council revealed its no overtaking plans for the A417 through Stretton Grandison, between Ledbury and Leominster, with signs set to go up if the order goes ahead.
Mairead Lane, acting assistant director for highways and transport, said no vehicle would be allowed to overtake any other moving vehicle through the village to ensure safety.
She said it was needed to ensure the "expeditious, safe, and convenient movement of vehicles", as well as to avoid, or prevent the likelihood of, "danger to persons or other traffic using the road".
She added it would also preserve and improve the amenity of the local area and accompany the completed road safety improvements
