- Bulls full-back Jared Hodgkiss had the games' first effort at goal stabbing just wide after a well worked move.
- The visitors thought they had a 13th minute lead when Windass found Rawson inside the box but he was judged to have been off-side inside the box.
- Rowson had the ball in the net again on 17 minutes but saw his effort disallowed again for a foul on Luke Haines in the process.
- Skipper Luca Havern was next to go close for the visitors nodding wide from a corner.
- However, it was the Bulls who took a 26th minute lead with a strike from George Forsyth who found the top corner from a Miles Storey cross.
- Just seconds later Rawson ran through on goal but his chipped effort was tipped over by Brandon Hall.
- Moments before the break Ryan McLean had golden chance to double Hereford's lead but nodded wide unmarked inside the box from Kouhyar's corner.
- Forsyth went close again moments before the break rifling just wide after trying his luck again from outside the box.
- Kouhyar opened up the Bradford defence on 67 minutes but his through ball skimmed off the 3G surface and skipped away from Zeli Ismail and the chance was gone.
- Miles Storey was pushing for a second Hereford goal and shrugged off a defender before sending his effort inches wide.
- However, with eight minutes remaining Bradford struck their equaliser with Windass sending a searching ball into the box which was slid home by Jake Hobbs at the back post.
- After his first half exploits Rawson had a chance to win the tie for his side late on but saw his effort fly across the face of goal and wide.
