DRAMATIC pictures show a car engulfed in flames – as well as the aftermath – after catching fire on a Herefordshire road.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called to the fire on the B4361 at Orleton, north of Leominster, at 8am on Wednesday. August 18, with a crew from Kingsland sent to the scene.
A spokesperson for the service said a car was found to be well alight and the blaze was extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using two hosereel jets.
Damping down took place and the car, an Audi, was taped off, they said, and there were no casualties.
West Mercia Police and Balfour Beatty Living Places, Herefordshire Council's contractor, also attended for traffic control.
