THE next batch of Herefordshire roads set to be closed for surface dressing works has been revealed.

Herefordshire Council contractor Balfour Beatty Living Places is running a surface dressing programme in a number of stages as it works through the county's roads which are in need of repair.

The closures are needed due to the surface dressing and cats eyes works and the likelihood of danger to the public, Herefordshire Council said.

The diversion routes for each closure will be signposted locally, with this the third stage of the programme.

No dates have been given for the works yet, but all roads will only be closed for one day.

The A417 at Stretton Grandison, A4111 at Eardisley and B4224 at Lea are the only main roads included in phase three of the programme.

There are also a number of country lanes included, which are the C1208 near Hay-on-Wye, C1218 in Longtown, C1181 in Colwall, C1248 at Welsh Newton and C1261 in Hoarwithy.
