Staff and residents at Rotherwood’s Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford care home on Hampton Park Road had perfect weather for their summer party, which was held on Saturday, July 24, in the care home grounds. The occasion lifted everyone’s spirits after what has been a very challenging year for everyone.

General manager, Daniel Bridges  said: “Last year was a year like no other and with restrictions easing, there could be light at the end of the tunnel in the care sector soon.

"Our teams have been magnificent in how they have risen to every challenge during this pandemic and the least we can do is make a fuss of our residents and staff by putting on a great celebratory summer party.

Hereford Times:

"There was a BBQ, bar, live music, and Trevor Hill’s Animal Wagon displaying different wild animal species."

One of the residents (who did not wish to be named), who has lived through two world wars and two pandemics, said: "I was so excited, looking forward to the summer party. They are always great fun. It’s the first step in getting things back to normal and having a buzz in the home once again."
