INDIAN culture came to Hereford this weekend as a new group celebrated its launch.
Saturday saw the inauguration of the Hereford Malayalee Association (HEMA).
The Malayalee may not share the same numbers of the Poles, Lithuanian or Portuguese, but they're an entertaining bunch.
Hailing from south Indian region, Kerala, they brought dance, music and all things cultural to St. Francis Xavier Primary School on Saturday (January 5).
Mayor of Hereford, coun Chris Chappell, was the guest of honour, and lit candles to mark the occasion.
Around 50 Malayalee attended the opening ceremony.
HEMA intends to meet on a monthly basis, and is planning a major festival this September.
