COUNTY residents are being urged to recycle their Christmas cards in a campaign to plant thousands of trees.
The annual Woodland Trust Christmas Card Recycling scheme has been launched by Recycle Now.
The charity wants Herefordians to hand over cards 500,000 this year, by taking them to special bins at WHSmith, Tesco, TK Maxx and Marks & Spencer stores.
Funds from recycled products will help the Woodland Trust plant 24,000 new trees.
*TODAY (Sunday) is the twelfth day of Christmas - but if you're taking down the tree, don't throw it away!
There are five county Household Waste sites where trees can be recycled.
Find them at: Hereford - Chapel Road, Rotherwas; Ross-on-Wye - Station Approach; Leominster - Bridge Street; Ledbury - Little Marcle Road; Bromyard - Linton Industrial Estate, Leominster Road
