FUNDRAISING pupils at Leominster Junior School have paid for two African children to attend school for a year.
Through the Heart for Africa charity, the children have been raising awareness of what life is like for some children in Africa and raising money to help make a difference.
Year 5 co-ordinator Adrian Parsonage ran a sponsored half-marathon to get things going before the whole school held a trainers day where pupils paid money to wear trainers and run around the school.
Mr Parsonage said the children were magnificent in raising over £600, which will send two children in Uganda - seven-year-old Faridah and eight-year-old Fred - to school for a year with a uniform and a meal every day.
