STUDENTS at a county college have raised £2,000 for the Acorns Children's Hospice following a Christmas Wassail.
The pupils, from Queen Elizabeth Humanities College in Bromyard, staged the choral event over two nights, collecting around £400 more than a similar show last year.
The Wassail included traditional carols sung by a choir and the audience, supported by the college Swing Band, as well as solo items, duets and an auction of items donated by businesses, parents and friends of the college.
Staff at the hospice, which offers care to life-limited children and their families across the West Midlands, expressed thanks for the students' hard work.
