THE export manager for a Herefordshire crisp business has won an award for his "inspirational" work.
Alan Jack has helped the exporting division of Tyrrells Potato Chips to thrive, with the company now selling crisps to 34 countries worldwide.
In recognition of his work, Mr Jack was presented with the Export Inspiration award, sponsored by Food from Britain's Fast Track membership scheme, at the Food from Britain Export Awards 2007.
John Adams, chief executive of Food from Britain, said: "The fact that Alan has won this award, which is voted for by his peers, is testament to the high esteem and affection in which he is held throughout the industry."
Mr Adams added that Mr Jack had more than 20 years of exporting experience and freely shared his international knowledge with fellow exporters.
Mr Jack said he was shocked to win the award and thanked everyone who voted for him, as well as his team at Tyrrells.
