A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he was caught driving while twice the limit.

Dariusz Rynkiewicz entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.

The court heard the 52-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Mercedes while over the limit in Leominster's Southern Avenue on May 7.

An evidential breath test revealed he had 73 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Rynkiewicz, of Meadow Bank Park, Hamnish, was disqualified from driving for 20 months and fined £276. He must also pay costs of £135 and a £34 victim surcharge.
