A TEENAGER has been handed a fine after he was caught carrying drugs in Hereford.
Lukas Gomez entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
Police were called to a row in Hereford on March 19, prosecutor Elizabeth Blacklock said.
Gomez was stopped and searched and officers found he was carrying a quantity of amphetamines. Marilena Di Vitantonio, for Gomez, said it was unfortunate that police had decided to take the matter to court rather than giving the 19-year-old a caution.
"I am not quite sure why he was not, as it was not a large amount," Miss Di Vitantonio said.
