MONDAY UPDATE: The kid has been returned (see below)

A YOUNG goat could potentially die within the next 48 hours if it is not returned to its mother.

The nanny kid was stolen from its home near Leominster overnight on Saturday (May 1), with the theft reported to the police.

Country store Wynnes of Dinmore, based between Hereford and Leominster, said the kid was still on mother so there was a "desperate need to get her back where she belongs".

They warned the public that if they were offered this kid, then to return her to Wynnes as it would be in the best interest of the kid's health for her to be back with her mother.

A spokesperson for Wynnes of Dinmore said: "It's just sad because she wasn't for sale we were keeping her to add to our own stock so it's not even the money side of things as she was never for sale."

They added: "If she's in the wrong hands and they don't know what they are doing she could potentially die in the next 48 hours."

Anyone with information. should contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 166i of May 2, 2021.
