FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a burning tree in the Herefordshire countryside.
It was such a remote place that a crew from Leominster needed the help of an additional fire engine and four-wheel drive vehicle from Hereford.
A farmer was also involved in tackling the fire, which was in the base of the tree near Dinmore Hill, which is between Hereford and Leominster.
RELATED NEWS:
It is not yet known how the fire started.
Last year a 500-year-old tree that had attracted visitors from all around the world was destroyed by fire.
The Whiteleaved Oak stood in a valley between Chase End Hill and Ragged Stone Hill at the southern end of the Malvern Hills on the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border.
There was a suspicion that a burning candle left at the tree by visitors had set it alight.
