In response to the front page story in the Hereford Times on March 4 regarding the teaching of sex education at St Mary’s Lugwardine. I am not a Catholic but I do understand their strong beliefs which are part of the Catholic teaching and therefore if you do not believe that the Catholic views are right - why would you send your child to a Catholic teaching school.
St Mary’s I know is an excellent school but if you choose to send your child there then surely you need to accept their beliefs and their teaching and if you don’t agree then why on earth would you send your child there.

You cannot send your child to a school because you know it has a good reputation and then criticise them for teaching their beliefs.
This is clearly their ethos and if you don’t agree with it then please don’t send your child there and then criticise them for their teaching.
