- The B4224 between Fownhope and Hereford is set to reopen at 4pm this afternoon (Friday) after repairs taking more than 12 months have finally been completed.
- • The road was severely damaged between Fiddler’s Green and Fownhope in February 2020 when Storm Dennis hit Herefordshire.
- • Transport bosses at Herefordshire Council had originally anticipated that the work to repair the road would be completed by the end of September, but delays meant this did not happen.
- • Herefordshire Council lawyers will now commission an independent review into the delays and handling of the repairs.
