FIREFIGHTERS across Herefordshire had a busy night, with callouts to two house fires.
Crews from Bromyard, Leominster, Tenbury, and Malvern fire stations were called to a blaze in a house near Bromyard Downs late last night (March 15).
A Fire Service spokesperson said a number of fire appliances were on scene, while crews used hose reels, main jets and breathing apparatus to battle the flames.
In south Herefordshire, crews from Ross-on-Wye and Whitchurch fire stations were joined by paramedics at a house fire in Symonds Yat just after midnight.
The fire, which involved a bathroom extractor fan, was out on arrival, and crews worked to make the home safe by cutting away affected materials and isolating services.
