The number of coronavirus cases reported in Herefordshire has risen by 72 in the last 24 hours, official figures show.

Public Health England figures show that 5,169 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Sunday (January 17) in Herefordshire, up from 5,097 the same time on Saturday.

Over the last seven days, 674 cases have been reported in the county.

The graph below shows the number of cases in Herefordshire by date of test, and not the day when the cases were published by PHE.

The Government website says the last five days' data is incomplete, thought to be due to a delay in results being processed.

Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 38,958 over the period, to 3,395,959.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
