WITH restaurants closed to diners once again, more and more of us are turning to delivery services for our weekend treat or fast-food fix.

Here, we have taken a look at Hereford's top-rated takeaways, as rated by customers on Deliveroo.

Tying for the top spot with average ratings of 4.6 stars apiece are two locally run takeaway businesses.

Greek Gourmet

Hundreds of customers awarded Bewell Street's Greek Gourmet, which serves up a selection of gyros and kebabs alongside Greek salads, five stars.

In more normal times, alongside offering takeaways, the business also runs a kiosk at festivals and events, and caters for weddings, parties, and more.

Edwards Plaice

Family-run chip shop, Edwards Plaice in Grandstand Road, also impressed, with its menu featuring kebabs, fish and chips, burgers, pies and more also rated five stars by the majority of its customers.

The business says using sustainably sourced fish, that is hand filleted on site daily, and potatoes sourced from local Herefordshire farms ensures a quality that is second to none.

The Meze and Lou's Bubbletea

Next is The Meze and Lou's Bubbletea in West Street, another locally owned and run business.

The Turkish restaurant, which offers breakfasts, a range of meze dishes, kebabs, seafood, and more, received an average rating of 4.5 stars.

The popular restaurant moved to its own premises in 2019 after launching as a stall in the Butter Market.

Wagamama

Coming in third is the highest rated chain restaurant on the site, Wagamama.

Offering Japanese inspired and fusion dishes including ramen noodles, curries, and a multitude of sides, Hereford's Old Market restaurant received an average rating of 4.4 stars.

Fourth is Nando's, another chain restaurant set in the Old Market development.

Its peri-peri chicken, sides, burgers, and vegetarian dishes hit the right spot for the majority of customers, leaving it with an average rating of 4.3.

Fifth is homegrown restaurant, the Burger Shop, which opened its doors to customers in 2014 after a series of suppers, pop-ups and events by A Rule of Tum,.

The Aubrey Street restaurant, which serves a selection of hand-made, locally sourced, burgers alongside loaded fries, chicken wings and more won an average rating of 4.1.
