FIRE crews have tackled a blaze near Leominster after an industrial wood chipper went up in flames on Thursday afternoon.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said it was first called at around 3.45pm on January 7 to the blaze, near Broad Lane, north of Leominster.
A spokesperson for the service said crews from Leominster and Kingsland were at the scene, where an industrial wood chipper was on fire.
A water carier from Leominster also attended.
The fire service spokesperson said the fire has been extinguished, but crews remain on scene "dampening down hotspots".
Hose reels and covering jets were used to tackle the blaze.
