A MAN has been handed a suspended sentence after attacking a teenager in a Herefordshire market town.
Matthew John Greene was sentenced by magistrates in Kidderminster on December 4 after being proven guilty in his absence on December 3.
The court heard the 49-year-old had assaulted a teenager by beating in Kington on August 10.
Magistrates said the offence was serious due to the age of the victim and handed Green a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
Greene, of Lyonshall, Kington, was also made subject to a two-year restraining order and must pay compensation of £100 and costs of £400.
