A WOMAN who assaulted a police officer has been handed a community order.
Tara Maria Stanik entered a guilty plea when she appeared before magistrates in Hereford on December 7.
The court heard Stanik had assaulted another person and a police officer acting in the course of her duties in Leominster on August 14.
She was also found to be carrying a quantity of cannabis on the same date.
Police were again called after the 30-year-old displayed threatening and abusive behaviour towards another person in the Herefordshire town two days later on August 16, when she was also found to be in possession of a quantity of amphetamines.
Stanik, of Mortimer Street, Leominster, was made subject to a nine-month community order, fined £50, and must pay compensation of £50 to the police officer. She must also pay costs of £100 and a £95 victim surcharge.
No compensation was ordered for the other assault victim, who had requested and received an apology from Stanik.
