A BEGGAR has been fined for begging on a Hereford street.
Sandel-Anghel Bacrau admitted the offence when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster on December 10.
The court heard Bacrau, who has previously been convicted of begging in a public place, in breach of the law, had been caught begging in Hereford's Widemarsh Street on December 9.
The 24-year-old, who is of no fixed address, was fined £100, and cash seized by police was ordered to be forfeited. His detention was deemed served by time already spent in custody.
No costs order was made.
