POLICE officers patrolling in Hereford are going to be using bikes following a £25,000 grant.
Police and crime commissioner for West Mercia, John Campion, has made the money available to the policing team.
He says the initiative will improve officer visibility and approachability when they are out in the communities they serve.
Chief Superintendent Paul Moxley added that the bikes will allow them to cover larger areas.
"The bikes also allow officers to get to locations through city areas that police vehicles may find difficult to access," he added.
