Children of Peace is the brainchild of Herefordian, Richard Martin, who founded and now chairs the good cause.
The multifaith charity aims to improve the lives of youngsters on the Gaza Strip, where shortages are rife and conditions are worsening from years of isolation.
It has two aims. The first is to ease the current situation, brought about by cross-border politics and terrorism, by supplying hand-outs to youngsters and their families.
Food, clothing, stationery and medical supplies are among the many items sent and distributed by Children of Peace. The need for such items is greater than ever, as recent events have destroyed much of Gaza's infrastructure and winter is fast approaching.
The second aim is to build bridges by educating children of all religions, together, through school, the arts, health and sports projects.
By teaching youngsters about the values of each religion, and dispelling prejudice, there is hope that future generations may live in peace.
