FIREFIGHTERS from several stations are currently on scene at a building fire in Herefordshire.

A fire service spokesperson said several crews have been working extremely hard in difficult, hot conditions at an agricultural building fire in Pencombe near Bromyard.

A crew from Bromyard Fire Station were initially called to the blaze, before being joined by crews from Leominster, Peterchurch and Hereford fire stations to make a total of four pumps and two water carriers on scene.

Hereford Times:

A number of pigs were taken to safety from an adjacent building, while crews used foam to tackle the flames.

Crews have been battling the blaze after they were first called at 1.42pm today (September 14).

Four pumps and a water carrier remain on site, and firefighters expect to remain at the farm through the night.
