DRAMATIC dash cam footage shows police in a high-speed chase with a dangerous driver in Romsley.
The video, which was shared by the Operations Patrol Unit for Worcestershire, shows officers in a high-speed pursuit with the vehicle after the driver failed to stop for police.
Footage shows police chasing the driver down the Bromsgrove Road and past the Sun pub, heading towards Halesowen at speeds reaching 76mph on the 30mph stretch of road.
The pursuit took place shortly after 4pm on May 21 this year after officers attempted to pull over the driver at Romsley.
Police abandoned the chase due to safety reasons but the driver was caught nearby and arrested.
Officers then discovered the driver was disqualified at the time.
The driver has since been setenced to six months in prison for dangerous driving.
OPU Worcestershire posted on Twitter: "This disqualified driver has just been sentenced to six months in prison for dangerous driving after they failed to stop for us in Romsley.
"Pursuit abandoned for safety reasons but caught nearby. #notworththerisk #denyingcriminalstheuseoftheroad"
