We are writing in support of the partial closure of Corn Square and nearby streets.
Leominster is the ideal town for such a move as Corn Square is a natural centre and could be a real hub of activity with its coffee shops, and tourist centre.
The High Street is at present quite hazardous for pedestrians as both the street and pavements are very narrow.
It also has a bank and well used shops, and people often stop to chat at the risk of being injured by passing cars.
There are six other car parks in Leominster if one includes the Co-op and Aldi. They are all fairly central and Etnam Street is less than five minutes from Corn Square.
We support Herefordshire and Leominster councils in this forward-looking move.
