HEREFORDSHIRE'S 'best and worst' GP surgeries according to patients have been revealed in an annual NHS survey.

The figures come from the NHS annual GP Patient Survey, which reveals how Herefordshire's surgeries were rated between January and March, before the coronavirus lockdown.

Residents were asked for their opinion on a variety of elements with practices from booking appointments, waiting times, out-of-hours services and the quality of care given.

Weobley and Staunton-on-Wye Medical Practice took the top spot for overall experience, with 99 percent of patients saying their overall experience was good, while Cradley Surgery took second place, with 98 percent, and Kingsland's Mortimer Medical Practice came in at third, with 97 percent.

At the bottom of the table, Hereford Medical Group, which includes Moorfield House Surgery (South Wye Medical Centre & Aylestone Hill Surgery), Greyfriars Surgery, Sarum House Surgery, Quay House Medical Centre (and Credenhill Branch Surgery), King Street Surgery (and Bobblestock Surgery) was in last place with 72 percent.

Herefordshire's average performance for this was 87 percent, above the national average of 82 percent.
