POLICE have had a busy weekend on the roads in Herefordshire and just over the border in Brecon.

In Herefordshire, a driver was taken into custody this afternoon by officers from the county's Operations Patrol Unit.

Police said the driver was arrested for suspected drug-driving offences.

Another driver was stopped after police noticed a number of blue lights on their vehicle.

The driver was reported for the lighting offences and must remove them. 

They were also arrested for suspected drug driving.

Meanwhile in Brecon, officers on patrol with the Roads Policing unit have made a number of stops resulting in arrests and drug seizures.

Police conducting operations in Brecon and surrounding areas said four drivers had been arrested following positive roadside drug wipe tests.

Two drug possession offences were also reported by officers, while two vehicles were seized by police and 12 construction and use offences were found.
