STAFF at St Michael's Hospice, Hereford, were delighted by a surprise gift on Good Friday morning.
A basket of chocolates and a beautiful hand-drawn card were left outside the hospice at Bartestree.
In a Facebook post, staff replied: "We are genuinely touched by this gift left outside St Michael's Hospice this morning."
And they issued their "heartfelt thanks" to the Humphreys family for the gesture.
The card read: "The amazing work you do all your round is inspiring, but the work you continue to do in the current Covid-19 situation in simply incredible.
"The tireless compassion the team gives day in and day out is moving and so we wanted to say thank you. A really big, sincere thank you from our family, to you, your family and all at St Michael's."
It was signed "love and gratitude, the Humphrey's".
