A MOTORCYCLIST has died after crashing into a metal barrier in Littlemore last night.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision which happened at around 11.10pm.
A white Mini Moto motorcycle was travelling west on Long Lane, Littlemore, when it crashed into a metal barrier which prevents access from vehicles.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his thirties, received serious injuries and died.

Police said his next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist trained officers.
Investigating officer PC Matt Clarke of the Roads Policing Unit based in Abingdon, said: “Firstly, our thoughts very much remain with the family and friends of the man who has died in this incident.
“At this time, we don’t believe any other vehicles were involved in this collision, but we would like to speak to anyone who may have information about it."
He added: “We would also like to speak to anyone who saw the Mini Moto being driven before the collision happened.

“Please contact Thames Valley Police using the non-emergency number 101 or make a report online quoting the reference number 1518 (17/2).”
It is not the first time someone has died after crashing into the barrier. In 2004, 16-year-old David Allen was killed after his moped hit the metal railing, which is next to the Eastern Bypass Road.
